About Alerts Setup Alerts provide proactive information to management when specific criteria is met in the system. This allows you to react quickly to overtime, low sales, or even high sales. Notification is accomplished through the use of email, pagers, cell phones, or the Insight Alerts Viewer window. This powerful feature provides the opportunity to deal with issues before they become troublesome, and to monitor specific areas of the restaurant that affect the bottom line. Benefits of Alerts include: • The ability to manage by exception. • The ability to monitor all stores or a specific store. • The ability to send alerts to subscribers via email, pagers, cell phones, or the Alerts Viewer. • The utilization of system and custom line items to specify alert criterion. • The ability to schedule alerts based on a user defined schedule to intervals that specifically meet the needs of your environment. • The ability to customize the text for an alert message. • The assignment of severity levels; therefore, enabling the subscribers receiving the alert to determine which alerts they need to respond to quickly. • The ability to create alerts quickly with predefined templates. Your access and rights to the Alert Setup wizard depend on your security settings, which are defined in User Setup within Aloha Insight. To access the Alerts Setup wizard, log in to Aloha Insight. Expand Aloha Insight on the left side of the screen and select Alerts Setup.
