You must configure the type of security validation MemberLink uses when your members access the MemberLink Web site. The cardholder can type their card number in to MemberLink and either enter an ePin number or answer a security question, such as their birth date. The system validates the ePin number or security question against the card. Upon a successful match, the user continues on to the appropriate page.
You configure the type of security validation used for MemberLink in Card Setup, depending on the card type. For Stored Value refer to Configuring the Stored Value Settings Tab in Card Setup. For Loyalty and combination Stored Value/Loyalty cards, refer to Configuring the Loyalty Settings Tab in Card Setup. When selecting a form of security validation, use a value that remains static for your customers. Phone numbers and favorite sports teams can change; however, a birth date does not change.
