Defining Database Purging Options This tab is unavailable if you set the store to operate as a “virtual” store. Purge Thresholds Purge thresholds allow you to automatically purge a gift card from the local database when it meets one or both of the following criteria: • It is less than a specified amount • It is not used for a specific number of days Select from the following purge thresholds: • Purge cards whenever the balance is less than • Purge cards that have not been used for more than Purging a gift card from the local database does not purge the gift card from the central database. You can still process the gift card transaction using the auto-approve settings. If the transaction exceeds the auto-approval amount, a connection is made to the central database to complete the transaction.
