Using Stored Value Lookup Wizard The Stored Value Lookup wizard enables you to track and print the history of a single gift card. For example, you can provide your customers a snapshot of their gift card transactions with the following information: • Current available balance • Transaction dates • Stores where the gift card was used • Guest check number • Transaction type • Amount of the transaction • Card balance after the transaction Access the Stored Value Lookup wizard on the Aloha Insight home page under the Reports heading. You can only view information within the Stored Value Lookup wizard; therefore, the security rights associated with Stored Value Lookup wizard are limited. The only security right associated with Stored Value Lookup wizard is assigned within the Menu Subheading Class wizard. For more information on assigning security rights, refer to Security Class Setup. Field Definitions Card Number — Displays the gift card number you are entering. You must enter the full gift card number, including the prefix and any leading zeros in the sequential gift card number. View Button Click View to obtain the transaction history for the number entered in the ‘Card Number’ text box. Current Card Balance — Displays the card balance for the gift card number entered in the ‘Card Number’ text box. ‘Current Card Balance’ is read-only and reflects the latest transactions that have synchronized with the master database. Print Button Click to print the transaction history. The printed report looks identical to what you see on-screen; however, ‘Show Voids’ does not appear in the printed report. The printed report uses ‘Gift Card History’ as the report title and this heading is not visible on-screen. Transaction List Box The Transaction list box contains transaction history in a sortable column format. The list displays transactions in chronological order, with the most recent transaction listed first. Clicking a column heading sorts the transaction list. For example, click ‘Store Name’ to sort the transactions by the store where the card was used. The list appears alphabetically, from a to z. Click ‘Store Name’ again to sort the list from z to a. Transaction Date — Lists the day of the week and date of the transaction. The default view for the Stored Value Lookup wizard displays the most recent transaction listed as the first transaction. Store Name — Lists the name of the store where the transaction occurred. Stored Value Lookup uses the name of the store as entered in the Store Setup wizard. Check # — Lists the guest check number for the gift card transaction. You can correlate the gift card transaction with a Front-of-House check number, if you are using Aloha Table Service or Quick Service. Transaction Type — Lists the type of transaction that occurred. The following types of transactions are reported: Card Expired — Indicates the card has expired and is no longer valid. Purchase — Amount applied to the gift card at the time of purchase. Add Value — Amount added to the gift card. Redemption — Amount applied as a payment to a guest check. Cash Back — Amount of cash back given to the customer. Unused Balance — Amount not used on the gift card. Void Purchase — Voided transactions when the customer was purchasing a gift card. Void Add Value — Voided transactions that occurred while adding value to the gift card. Void Redemption — Voided transactions that occurred when the customer redeemed the gift card. Void Cash Back — Voided transactions that have been set up to give cash back. Void Unused Balance — Voided transactions that have been set up not to adjust the balance of the gift card or give cash back. You configure the gift card redemption options and remaining balance option on the GC Setup Wizard > POS Settings tab. Amount — Lists the dollar amount of the transaction. Negative amounts are denoted with a minus sign in front of the amount. Card Balance — Lists the balance of the card after the transaction. Show Voids — Enables you to view voided transactions. ‘Show Voids’ is selected by default. To not view the void transactions in the list, clear ‘Show Voids’.
