About Company Setup

After signing up for the Aloha Insight Web service, the Aloha Insight support staff assigns you a unique customer ID and initializes your company database. After you register the company domain, use the Company Setup wizard to define specific company settings, such as the master store, email address format, company calendar, fiscal periods, and much more. The settings in Company Setup are global, which means they apply to your entire company, and the information you enter is written to your company database. Settings, such as the days your stores close, may not be the same for all your stores; therefore, you can change these settings on an as needed basis for individual stores.

The Company Setup wizard has the following tabs:

•	General — You define the name, master store, email address, company email address, and default language for the company.

•	Company Calendar — You define the start date your company went live with Aloha Insight, the sales week starting day, hours of operation, the time your stores run end-of-day, closed days for all stores, and fiscal periods for your company.

•	Polling and System Admin — You configure if you would like to use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols to log in, password settings, such as minimum password lengths, current day polling, and exception polling or dates not to repoll a specific store.

•	Sales Reporting Modules — You configure the settings for various enterprise financial and report functions for your company, including Sales Reporting, Drilldown Viewer, and Sales Projections.

•	Sales Calculations — You configure the settings for important sales calculations, such as if net sales includes or excludes promotions and comps, check average method, per person average (PPA), and tip % threshold.

•	Data Management Controls — You define the master store and category synchronization.

•	Pulse Settings — You define the employees in your company that can access Pulse and the short names for your stores.

Your access and rights to the Company Setup wizard depend on your security settings, which are defined in Security Class Setup within Aloha Insight.
