About Security Class Setup Wizard
An important part of any business intelligence tool relies on the fact that the information provided by the system can be allocated appropriately based on your company’s organizational hierarchy. When logging in to Aloha Insight, the system knows exactly who users are, what stores they have access to, which applications they are allowed to access, and which features they can utilize within each application. This is based on what’s known as “security classes.”
Each user in your company’s Insight system belongs to a security class. Example security classes could be “Managers,” who only have access to their designated store, “Area Managers,” who only have access to their Area, or corporate personnel, who have full access to everything within the Insight system.
With its granular security settings, the Security Class Setup Wizard allows you to define each user’s role within the system, ensuring that the system’s intent is not jeopardized, and more importantly can be used by all resources within your company. After creating the security classes, you then assign employees to the security class via the User Account Setup wizard.
When you add a security class, you define the following:
Aloha Insight contains a default ‘Full Access’ security class for your initial use. The ‘Full Access’ security class gives you access to Security Class Setup and enables you to begin creating and defining your security classes for your company.
