Adding and Modifying Store Groups
Select Add/Modify Store Groups on the Site Setup Welcome screen to access the Store Group wizard. The Store Group wizard allows you to organize your stores into logical reporting groups, and then assign security classes to them to determine who has the ability to access the information for the stores in the group. For example, create a store group for each franchisee that includes only their stores, thus limiting the sales data they can view. A store can belong to multiple store groups.
The Welcome to the Store Group Setup wizard screen displays all store groups previously created and provides the following information:
Store Group Name
Displays the store groups for your company.
Stores Count
Contains the number of stores assigned to the store group.
Report as Market
Indicates the store group reports as a market on Aloha Insight reports. The ‘Report as Market’ column either contains a ‘Yes’ or is left blank.
Use the buttons to perform the following in the Store Groups wizard:
Your access and rights to the Store Group Setup wizard depend on your security settings, which are defined in User Account Setup within Aloha Insight.
To edit a store group:
1.
Select Add/Modify Store Groups on the Site Setup Welcome screen.
2.
Click Next.
3.
Select the store group to modify from the Store Group Name list on the Welcome to the Store Group wizard screen.
4.
Click Edit.
5.
Type the new name of the store group, if you are changing the name.
6.
Select Report as Market, if the store group is reporting as market.
7.
Click Next to continue to the Assign Stores to Store Group screen.
8.
Select the stores in the ‘Unassigned Stores’ list box and use the arrows to move them to the ‘Assigned Stores’ list box.
To select multiple adjacent stores, hold down Shift and click the first and last store. To select non-adjacent stores, hold down Ctrl and click one store at a time.
If you selected the store group to report as a market, only the stores available to assign to the market display in the ‘Unassigned Stores’ list box.
9.
Click Save. The Classes with Access to this Store Group screen appears.

Select the security classes you want to access the store group in the ‘All Classes’ list box and use the arrows to add them to the ‘Classes with Access’ list box.
To select multiple adjacent security classes, hold down Shift and click the first and last security class. To select non-adjacent security classes, hold down Ctrl and click one security class at a time.
11.
Click Save to return to the Store Groups screen.
To edit classes previously assigned to a store group, access the Security Class Setup wizard.
To delete a store group:
1.
Select Add/Modify Store Groups on the Site Setup Welcome screen.
2.
Click Next.
3.
Select the store group to delete.
4.
Click Delete.
5.
Click OK at the prompt to delete the store group.
If you do not have security access, you cannot delete a store group.
To copy a Store Group:
1.
Select Add/Modify Store Groups on the Site Setup Welcome screen.
2.
Click Next.
3.
Select the store group to copy from the Store Group Name list on the Welcome to the Store Group wizard screen.
4.
Click Copy.
5.
Type the name of the new store group.
6.
Select Report as Market, if the store group is reporting as a market.
7.
Click Next to continue to the Assign Stores to Store Group screen.
8.
To select multiple adjacent stores, hold down Shift and click the first and last store. To select non-adjacent stores, hold down Ctrl and click one store at a time.
If you selected the store group to report as a market, only the stores available to assign to the market display in the ‘Unassigned Stores’ list box.
9.
Click Save. The Classes with Access to this Store Group screen appears.
10.
Select the security classes you want to access the store group in the ‘All Classes’ list box and use the arrows to add them to the ‘Classes with Access’ list box.
To select multiple adjacent security classes, hold down Shift and click the first and last security class. To select non-adjacent security classes, hold down Ctrl and click one security class at a time.
11.
Click Save to return to the Store Groups screen.
To edit classes previously assigned to a store group, access the Security Class Setup wizard.
