Configuring Projected Sales

Use the Projected Sales Setup wizard to define the sales projection settings for one to eight weeks. When you access Projected Sales from Company Setup you are defining sales projections for your company. When you access Projected Sales from Site Setup you are defining sales projections for the individual store you are currently editing.

Week to Use in Projection

— Enables you to define sales projections for one to eight weeks. You can compare each week used in sales projections with data from the following:

•	Same Week Last Year

•

Last Week

•	Two Weeks Ago

•	Three Weeks Ago

•	Four Weeks Ago

•	Five Weeks Ago

•	Six Weeks Ago

•	Seven Weeks Ago

•	Eight Weeks Ago

•	Budget Sales

Weight

— Enables you to apply a weight when calculating projected sales against the week displaying in the ‘Use Week’ column. You can apply weights from 5 percent to 100 percent. Weights for all weeks must equal 100 percent when you save the record.

Include Zero Sales In Calculation

— Calculates sales projections based on either not including or including days with zero sales. Select ‘Yes’ to include the days or click ‘No’ to not include the zero sales days.

To define sales projections:

1.	Click Sales Projections. The Projected Sales Setup wizard appears. If prior sales projections exist, the Projected Sales wizard displays the existing data.

2.	Select the weight for each week you want to use in your projection.

3.	Continue selecting weights for each week in the projection until all weights equal 100 percent.

4.	Select Yes to include the days or click No to not include the zero sales days.

5.	Click Save to return to the screen from which you started.
