Datasets

A data set contains similar data elements or data groupings used to build a tab in Dynamic Drilldown Viewer. Data elements are the individual values in the columns on the drilldown page, such as Item Count, Sales per Labor Dollar, or Refund Dollars. ‘Group by levels’ are used to summarize rows on the page, such as Area, Store, Order Mode, and Hour. You use the combination of data elements and ‘group by levels’ available in the data set to build tabs that are customized to your data analysis needs.

Each data set has a security right associated with it, to help you control which users can access and view sensitive data, such as wage information. Refer to Security Setup for more information.

When building your drilldown pages, consider the following:

•	Each data set contains a unique combination of data elements and ‘group by levels’.

•	Select the data set that pertains to the type of data you want to view. For example, select Menu Mix for PMIX style reports.

•	You can select only one data set per tab in Dynamic Drilldown Viewer.

•	Different data elements are available at different ‘group by levels’ in the data set. Refer to the data element tables to determine the ‘group by levels’ available for a data element.

•	You can change the reporting date for a data element to create comparative reporting columns; however, not every group by level enables you to make date changes for data elements. If Change Date is not enabled, you cannot use comparative reporting for that level.
