Creating an Alert with a Template Use a template to create alerts based on a predefined style and message. This is a quick way to get started when creating a new alert. When you click Template from the Welcome to Alerts Setup Wizard screen, the Alert Templates screen appears. Template Category Select the category from the drop-down list to display a list of templates. Select a template, and the purpose of the alert displays underneath the list box as a read-only statement. Additionally, the alert message text displays in the ‘Alert Message’ text box. Click Next to proceed to the General tab where you specify the settings and enter a unique name for the template. Once you save an alert template, it becomes a custom message.
