Alerts Glossary Active — Designates the alert as active. When an alert is active, it is sent to subscribers based on the defined schedule, once the condition is met. Active alerts display in the ‘Alert Name’ list box on the Welcome to Alerts screen. Alert Condition — The qualifying event that triggers the alert. For example, an alert notifies you when voids are greater than x amount of dollars. Data Warehouse — A central repository for the polled data collected from your stores. A data warehouse allows Aloha Insight to perform data queries, projections, and data summaries. Drilldown Links — Links that when used in an alert message, enable the subscriber to activate Drilldown Viewer and perform further analysis. The only time you can use a drilldown link is within an alert message when you send the alert to the Alert Viewer. When you insert keywords in to an alert message, they display within percentage signs. For example, %AlertName%. When the alert is sent, the actual alert name is embedded within the alert without the percentage signs. Click to see example keywords: AlertName — Inserts the name of the alert. AreaName — Inserts the area monitored by the alert. AlertCondition — Inserts the alert condition, such as Between, Less Than, or Greater Than. AlertThreshold — Inserts the defined value that when met, triggers the alert. All Stores — Inserts all the stores monitored by the alert. BeginningAlertThreshold — Inserts the defined value that sends an alert if the result is greater than the value, and less than the ‘EndingAlertThreshold’ value. This is used only when AlertCondition=Between. EmployeeID — Inserts the ID of the employee. EmplpyeeName — Inserts the name of the employee. EndingAlertThreshold — Inserts the defined value that sends an alert if the result is less than this value, and greater than the BeginningAlertThreshold value. This is used only when AlertCondition=Between. InsightStoreID — Inserts the Aloha Insight store ID. InsightStoreName — Inserts the name of the store entered in Aloha Insight. LineItemValue — Inserts the calculated value of the selected line item. RegionName — Inserts the region monitored by the alert. RangeofDays — Inserts the range of dates on which the alert is reporting. StoreGroup — Inserts the store group monitored by the alert. Line Items — A line item is a piece of data in your data warehouse that you want to include in a custom report or use to set conditions for an alert. Polling Schedule — This is the schedule Aloha Insight uses to poll your stores. When Aloha Insight polls your stores, the data is stored in your data warehouse that Aloha Insight maintains.
