Testing an Alert The Test button enables you to test an alert before sending it to subscribers. After defining all attributes for the alert, click Test. If any information is incorrect, you receive a message to correct it. Otherwise, you select a store and a date, and click Test. Store — Designates the store to use as a test for the alert. Only the stores you can access display in the drop-down list. If you are creating an alert for a single store, the ‘Store’ drop-down list is not available. The ‘Store’ drop-down list is unavailable, if ‘Create Single Alert for all Store’ is selected. Date — Determines the date to use to test the alert. The alert message appears in the ‘Alert Message’ text box in read-only format. If the selected date does not have any sales data, you receive a message indicating the store does not have any sales for the selected date. 1. In the Alert Test screen, select a store from the drop-down list. 2. Click to select a date, or type a date into the text box. Be sure to select a date with data. 3. Click Test to run the alert. 4. When testing is complete, click Done
