Working with the General Tab
Use the General tab to define the general information for your company, such as your company name, and email settings.
Company Name
Designates your company name. Type your company name in the ‘Company Name’ text box.
Domain
Displays your company domain name and is read only. The domain name is the unique Internet address for your company, which is created when a company signs on with Aloha Insight. Once created, the domain name never changes.
The use of capital or lower case letters in the email address depends upon how you enter the name in the system. For example, if you enter names into the system using proper noun capitalization, such as Mary Smith, her email address displays as MarySmith@domain_name.com. If you enter her name in lower case text, her email address displays as marysmith@domain_name.com.
Company Email Address
Designates the email address where Aloha Insight sends announcements and updates. This is the default email address for your company.
Default Language
Designates the default language for Aloha Insight. This is the default language for wizards within Aloha Insight.
Default Active Report Settings
Use the Active Report settings to configure your company defaults for an Active Report. Active Reports enable you to select a default language, control if currency symbols display on a report, and customize the report with your company logo.
Language
Designates the default language for an Active Report. The language setting modifies the static text elements on the report:
Format
Designates the default format settings for numeric values on an Active Report. The following elements update to the appropriate format when you select a language in the ‘Format’ drop-down list:
Suppress Currency Symbols
Indicates you do not want currency symbols to appear on the column headers and data in the report. If a column name contains a currency symbol, the currency symbol does not appear. For example, the column name is ‘Sales $’ and you suppress the currency symbol, it would appear as ‘Sales’ without the symbol.
Logo
Indicates the default logo for your company reports. The ‘Logo’ drop-down list contains all the logos available for your company reports. To customize an Active Report, select a logo from the list to set it as your company header. You can choose to not display a logo on a report by selecting ‘None’ in the ‘Logo’ drop-down list. Before selecting a custom logo, you must upload any custom logos using the ‘Choose a Logo to Upload’ text box.
The Logo drop-down list can contain up to 20 logos with each logo being up to 1 MB in size. Use the following as a guideline to size your logos:
(Width x Height)
288 x 96 pixels
3.0 x 1 inch
Logos can have the following extension types: .tif, .tiff, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif, .png, and .gif.
You can add larger logos; however, report data will move down to make room for the logo which may cause usability issues. Test new logos on different reports for usability.
Choose a Logo to Upload
Indicates the name of the logo to use as a custom logo on an Active Report.
To upload a logo for use on an Active Report:
1.
Click Browse and navigate to the location of the logo you want to upload on your computer.
2.
3.
Click Open on the ‘Choose File’ dialog box.
4.
Click Upload File to make it available as a logo on an Active Report.
5.
Click OK on the File Uploaded prompt. This confirms that your file was uploaded successfully and is now available in the ‘Logo’ drop-down list.
After a successful upload, the ‘Choose a Logo to Upload’ text box clears. You can select the newly uploaded logo from the ‘Logo’ drop-down list.
Delete Button
Select a logo in the ‘Logo’ drop-down list and click ‘Delete’ to remove the logo from the list.
