Working with the Sales Reporting Modules Tab
Use the Sales Reporting Modules tab to configure the settings for various Aloha Insight financial and report functions for your company, including Drilldown Viewer, PMIX, and Sales Projections.
PMIX Reporting
PMIX Item Naming
Determines PMIX item naming style for menu items on reports and in drilldown viewer. You can use the long name, short name, or chit name. The name corresponds to the item name entered in the POS database.
List Modifiers with the Item Sold
Indicates modifiers display with each item.
Exclude Zero Priced Menu Items and Modifiers
Excludes all zero-priced (free) menu items and modifiers from all reports, including Drilldown Viewer reports. This option only applies to future days; it does not apply to historical data unless you contact Aloha Insight support for assistance. Related Options: To exclude zero-priced items that were voided from a check from all reports, select ‘Exclude Voided Items.’
Exclude Voided Items
Excludes all zero-priced (free) menu items and modifiers that were voided from a check from all reports, including Drilldown Viewer reports. Depending on your operation, voided items either affect inventory counts and appear on reports, or do not affect inventory counts and do not appear on reports. To include voided items in the reports, clear this option. If you do not count voided items against your inventory, select this option. This option only applies to future days; it does not apply to historical data unless you contact Aloha Insight support for assistance.
Consolidation Options
Consolidated PMIX
Combines item sales information for all stores on the PMIX report. This allows you to report PMIX information for all stores. Companies with a standardized menu throughout their stores use this option. Unless otherwise instructed by Aloha Technologies personnel, always select ‘Consolidated PMIX.’
Separate PMIX by Store
Designates that data displays one store at a time on the PMIX report. The PMIX report does not display combined item sales for all stores. Use this option when stores do not have standard menu item numbers across locations. For example, the Bedford store uses the item number 3000 for meatloaf; while the Denver store uses item number 3000 for a chef salad.
Drilldown Category View
Sales Categories
Indicates all sales categories report in Drilldown Viewer.
Selected Categories
Indicates only selected categories report in the Category Sales drilldown within Drilldown Viewer. Click the ‘Selected Categories’ button to display the Drilldown Categories selection screen.
Consolidate by check number
Indicates a check that contains multiple promotions consolidates to one entry. The default view for Drilldown Viewer lists the promotions on separate drilldown entries when the check contained more than one promotion. If you want the promotions consolidated, you must select ‘Consolidate by check number.’

Select the default report export format for your Crystal Reports and Active Reports. The selected export format is used by the Reports Wizard when sending reports to an email address and to your Portal. You have the option to change the export format when scheduling the report.

Reporting Options

Check Detail Viewer Options
Use the Check Detail Viewer options to determine whether you view the discounted item price or the original item price in Check Detail Viewer. Currently, you view the discounted item price. For example, a hamburger normally sells for $5.00, but you offer a combo deal with the same hamburger, fries, and a drink for $7.50. If you view this check in Check Detail Viewer, it shows the hamburger at $4.00 (discounted price), the drink at $1.50, and the fries at $2.00, with the check total at $7.50. Choose from the following options:
Display Original Item Price
Indicates the original item price appears in Check Detail View, not the price after applying a discount.
Display Discounted Item Price
Indicates the price of the item after it is discounted appears in Check Detail Viewer, not the original price of the item. Currently, ‘Display Discounted Item Price’ is the default selection for Check Detail Viewer.
