Getting Started with Drilldown Viewer
Drilldown Viewer uses a report layout format to view data for a particular date, or a range of dates. After making a date selection, you can view a wide range of data specific to your selection, including category sales, hourly sales, menu items, labor, schedules, comps, promos, voids, payments, deposits, revenue centers, and order modes. To view detailed data, select a report option, and Drilldown Viewer compiles and displays information specific to your selection.
To use Drilldown Viewer, perform the following steps:

Select a Dates or Ranges of Dates to View
Drilldown Viewer enables you to view a single date or range of dates.
To view a range of dates:
1.
Click the Start Date calendar on the Drilldown Viewer screen to display the calendar. The calendar appears with the system date as the default value.

Select the start date from the calendar to automatically enter it into the Start Date text box.

Click the End Date calendar and select a date to automatically enter it into the End Date text box.

Click Go. Drilldown Viewer compiles the data for the selected dates. If you select a range of dates, you can eventually select a specific date in Drilldown Viewer.
Select a Store, Region, or Area
After you select a date, select an individual store, a region, or an area. Your security rights define the stores, regions, or areas you can view. Drilldown Viewer opens with the stores, regions, and areas you can view displaying in blue. The 'Store Count' contains the number of stores you can view in the top left corner. Each time you select another date or date range, the system checks the number of stores, and adjusts the 'Total Count' value as needed.
Sort columns alphabetically or in ascending order, depending upon the column data. For example, to determine the store with the highest sales, click the Net Sales column heading. The numeric data sorts in ascending order with the highest sales displaying first.
Click the desired store, region, or area.
Selecting a Report Option
After you select a store, region, or area, choose one of the following report options at the top of the screen:
Category Sales
Displays sales data for items within each category for the selected store, region, or area.
Hourly Sales
Displays the hourly sales data for a store, region, or area.
Menu
Displays sales data on items, categorized by Reporting Category, for a selected store, region, or area.
Labor
Displays labor information, such as job code and total hours and labor dollars for the job codes, in a selected store, region, or area.
Schedule
Displays the labor hours scheduled versus actual hours worked for a selected store, region, or area. If you select a single date and store, Drilldown Viewer does not have any options to select. If you select a single store and multiple dates, you can select from a range of dates.
Comps
Displays free or reduced items that have been comped by a selected store, region, or area. For example, many restaurants allow employees to eat free or purchase meals at a reduced price.
Promos
Displays promotional item sales for a selected store, region, or area. For example, a company can run a 2-for-1 promotion for hot dogs, where the customer receives two hot dogs for the price of one.
Voids
Displays void information for a selected store, region, or area. Voids are categorized by Void Description.
Payments
Displays customer payment information by tender type for a selected store, region, or area.
Deposits
Displays deposit information for a selected store, region, or area. Deposits list in the order you enter them in the BOH. If you select multiple dates, select a date from a range of dates
Revenue Centers
Displays information on the revenue centers for a selected store, region, or area.
Order Modes
Displays information on the order modes for a selected store, region, or area.
The actual number of options you can view may vary due to your security rights.
Selecting a report option displays a new view with columns of information. For detailed information on individual column headings, refer to the Drilldown Viewer Glossary.
After selecting a report option, Drilldown Viewer compiles the information and displays it in report format.
To perform further analysis or drill down deeper into the information, click the to the left of the link. To return to a previous view, click the link to the right of the .
Click the underlined column heading to display a pop-up with a brief description on how the column was calculated. An example of a column heading with a pop-up tip is Item Sales.
Drilldown Viewer and Separate PMIX by Store
If you select 'Separate PMIX by Store' in Company Setup, Drilldown Viewer reports the PMIX information by store. A summary is not available for all stores. Select this option when stores do not have standard menu item numbers across locations. For example, the Bedford store uses the item number 3000 for meat loaf; whereas, the Denver store uses item number 3000 for a chef salad.
Drilldown Viewer now enables you to select the store when you select a region or area and get a PMIX report on the individual store.

You get to the store level detail when you select to view a region or area. The drill down hierarchy does not change when you select a store.
Print a Drilldown Report
After you select a drilldown option, you can print the information if you are assigned to a security class with access to print Drilldown Viewer information.
To print a report in Drilldown Viewer, click to invoke the default printer dialog box. The printer dialog box varies according to the brand of printer.
