Configuring the Company Calendar Tab
On the Company Calendar tab, you configure your company calendar, company closed days, and fiscal periods.
To configure the Company Calendar tab:
1.
Click to select the date your company went live with Aloha Insight.
2.
Select the weekday your company calendar begins. For example, your company week may run from Monday to Sunday.
3.
Click to select the ending date of your last payroll period, or type the date in the text box. This date works in conjunction with the date in ‘Pay Period’ to enable Aloha Insight to calculate your future pay periods.
4.
Select one of the following payroll intervals from the Pay Period drop-down list:
5.
Select the hour the stores in your company open for business.
6.
Select the hour the stores in your company close.
7.
Select the default time zone for your stores. Aloha Insight uses this time zone to run scheduled reports. For example, if your default time zone is central time and you schedule a report to run at 9:00 a.m., Aloha Insight sends the report to all subscribers at 9:00 a.m. central time. A subscriber in the eastern time zone receives the report at 10:00 a.m. eastern time, because eastern time is one hour ahead of central time.
Company Closed Days
Defines the days of the week all your stores are not in operation. Remember, this is a global setting. The Aloha Insight system uses this information to determine the days not to automatically poll the stores again when there are missing days. If you have a store that closes weekly on a day other than the days specified here, use Site Setup to establish an override for the specific store. If you have a store, or group of stores, closing on a specific date, such as a holiday, define these dates using the ‘Exception Polling’ settings on the Polling and System Admin tab.
To define company closed days:
1.
Click Company Closed Days.
2.
Select the days of the week your stores are closed.
3.
Click Save.
Fiscal Periods
Defines the fiscal calendar year for your company. Aloha Insight uses fiscal periods extensively in reporting. Select the year to use, the beginning and ending dates for the fiscal year, and the number of periods to use for the fiscal year, then click ‘Calculate’ to calculate the date information.
To define company fiscal periods:
1.
Click Fiscal Periods.
2.
Select the year from the drop-down list.
3.
Click to select the first day of the fiscal period.
4.
Click to select the last day of the fiscal period.
5.
Type the number of fiscal periods in your fiscal year in the ‘Number of Periods’ text box.
6.
Click Calculate.
7.
Click Save.
